......I have decided to look into different career! I love doing hair on my clients, friends and family but that is about it. I have felt for a long time now that I would like to do something that would make a difference in people's lives. After being with Christi in the hospital and helping her out (and her threatening to lock the doors so I couldn't leave!) I have decided to persue the health career!! I am going to start out as a CNA or PCA and work towards and LPN! It's a little scary, and some of the job duties some gross and are gross but the thought of helping out people is REALLY floatin' my boat!!! My mom always said I should have been a nurse so she is thrilled. My DH says to do whatever would make me happy. I haven't told his side of the family as I don't need their discouragement or input (5 RN's in the family there). PLUS they would push me to go further! SO, once I get enrolled and pass the test I will inform them!! I am sooooooo excited!! Although, taking a test scares the bejeebers outta me! I should be starting either Dec 3 or in Jan!! WOW!! that's soon! Sorry so long, I just had to share! Love ya all!

WOW! That is great, Sandie! You will be wonderful in that field. You have such a great, loving and funny personality that people will love having you there to care for them. You GO GIRL! You can do it, the test won't be that bad. And if the in-laws give you a hard time about it - you just let us know and we'll let them have it for you!

Good for you Sandy! I am an LPN and I started going back for my RN but have changed my mind. I work in an Oncology clinic and love it, I wouldn't change for anything in the world. Once you know where you want to work, you can decide if you want to be an RN or LPN, most clinics hire only LPNs or MAs, and most hospitals hire only RNs, so think about where you want to work and that will help you decide. Good for you Sandie! There are so many doors that can open up for you from there. Healthcare is an amazing field with so much opportunity. And I know you'll be great at whatever you do - don't let anyone tell you that you can't do anything. You CAN do it! Sharon
