Update on me...
Thank you to all that replied to my pain post last night!
I took your advice and called the surgeons office and they suggested that I go to ER and rule everything out - better to be safe than sorry!
After a contrast CT scan, an ultrasound, blood work, 12mg of morphine, tordal and a liter of fluid.....they found nothing wrong, so have chalked it up post surgery muscle pain.
They do want me to follow up with Dr Pierce on monday though, so I probably do that, but I am already scheduled for my 2 week post op for Wed.
So, resting today....and will probably go back to wearing the binder when i am up and moving about. Did anyone else get sent home with a binder? If so, how long did you wear it?
Thanks again to all for the advise....luv my OH sisters!
Teri
Teri...I am so glad you contacted your surgeon. That was the right thing to do. It is good to know it wasn't anything serious. Please do rest today....you are still recoving from the surgery.
I never had a binder.....I would think it would help.
Let us know how your next appointment goes.
Have a good day...connie d
Hey Hon! Muscle pain stinks and sorry about that but at least it wasn't anything worse!!!! I didn't have a binder until I fell and pulled a muscle and then wearing it helped! Keep us updated!!!! And yes, rest will be best for you! Hope it heals quick

I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
So glad that you went to the doctor and that they didn't find anything.
I had a binder and I wore it for a couple of weeks. Wierd thing is, I had pain at night when I was laying down, so I wore it at night for a longer time than during the day.
Good luck, and hope that Dr. Pierce says that it is just muscle pain as well!

Teri - I'm glad that all is good. The pain could also be due to nerves waking up. After surgery, the nerves that were effected slowly start to "wake up". It's an intense burning pain. So, that could be what you are going through. It eventually fades. I hope you stop having pain soon.
Take care,
Lori
