Hi again I have another question to ask what do you guys do for protein?  I am using choc powder and I mix that with my sugar free shake for breakfast.  I don't think you can mix to many things with it.  Any ideas?  Also is it normal to have major mood swings?  I was o****il yesterday when they approved me and I turned into instant ***** after I was done being excited and thats not cool. Thanks to everyone who has e mailed me and left encouragement for me its so nice to hear from other than my husband and friends.  Thanks again

I found i can't do protein drinks or powder, so I have no advise for that. On the mood swings -- it is just beginning and is so normal.  I'm surprised the *****y hit before the tears -- usually that comes first.  The approval is the end of the stress of getting there process.  Mentally you are exhausted from all the stuff involved with that.  Now comes the surgery anticipation, the liquid diet, the asking yourself if you really want to do this, the excitement of the surgery, etc.  So you will be up and down right up to the minute they say "count backwards from 100".  Very normal!!! Hi...what you are experiencing is normal. I think we go through so much to get the approval then everything hits us at once. We have been so pumped for so long and then there are no more hoops and fighting to do. Our moods change drastically sometimes. It will get better....hang in there. As for the shakes I don't use them either. I had to do 2 weeks of Boost before surgery and 4 weeks after. I get all my protein from food now. Hope you day gets brighter.   connie d

I found I couldn't do the powders right after surgery. Maybe once I am able to mix it with some ice then I will like them again I am sure. I got an assortment and have been experimenting. I had gotten Atkins Advantage shakes, EAS shakes and now SlimFast LC shakes. All ready made and I like them so much better than the powders right now. I think I will return the EAS and the pack of Atkins ones I just got, I really like these SlimFast ones and they're 20g protein each, more than either Atkins or EAS. Also, I had picked up some Cytosport Protein drinks at GNC. 20oz bottle 40g protein. I found it's not as syrupy to me as Isopure was. Good luck, it's tough sometimes to find what works for you.

Don't be so hard on your self M.  J knows that you are going through alot and you have a awesome marriage.  Just keep him involved.  He knows you are stressed and scared.  You can do this!  You are a very strong person.  Jus****ch the mood swings and what sets you off.  I found that if I did not get in my protein and water I get moody.  May not make sense.  You are going through a life change, it is scary! You just have to know that you are making the right decision.  Call me whenever you need an ear!
