OT: Rise & Shine Black Friday Shoppers

So, if you're in for the crowds and silliness of it all, what is the big purchase you're shopping for? For me, I've got some elderly people I need to shop for as a charity we are doing through work. A CD player, a coat, and some shoes are a few of the wishes I hope to fill. I was all out set to get my kids a Nintendo Wii, but in an effort to avoid that mad rush, thank goodness Gramma lives in Arizona in the winter - in the retirement communities, those just don't sell as well, so she had a large stock to pick from! Now hopefully she makes it through TSA at the airport next month. LOL Happy Shopping everyone!

This has always been one of my favorite days of the year. Back home (in SE Kansas) the gals in my family all get together and go.. it's a huge deal too! we scour the ads and see who needs what then we pair off (one to push the cart and one to guard it from those cart shoppers!) and we head off in different directions with our lists...picking up same items for other family members then we meet up distribute each others goodies and head on to the next store! We end the morning with breakfast and lots of laughs!  Happy Shopping you CRAZY Black Friday ladies!!! READY.... SET.... GOOOOOO!!!!!

YES, Lisa, that is exactly what my sister's and I do. And I have to be honest, thank goodness for cell phones! LOL We are constantly calling from the various stores going "how many of these did you want again?" It is quite funny, but we all head home after a Caribou break and cra****hen have left over turkey around 2 p.m. Quite the day that is for sure. And I personally love to get stuck in line with the crabby people. I always wonder why they are out shopping during the busiest time, so I try to make the best of it and kill 'em with my smile and bad sense of humor. LOL

I love the crabby ppl too!!! I'm not always so nice though last year the walmart in Coon Rapids had us corralled in between rows of shopping cards to try and get us all to got the same way I guess. and the gal behind me kep ramming her cart into my ankles on the 4th time I turned and asked her to please stop doing that because I couldnt' move any faster, she told me to push the ppl in front of me, so I told her that if she put her cart in my ankles again I was going to put her cart someplace that would require a proctologist to remove it!

I'm excited....I'll be out there and ready to go by 5 am.   My husband thinks I'm nuts but ya know what....he actually wants to come with before he has to work this yr.   We talked my 15 yr old son into staying here and watching the baby.   I want a portable DVD player to sit on my desk while I'm working...also I saw Walmart has kids pj's for $5....wanna stock up on some of those for Sadie.   We usually end with breakfast as well.   Only one difference this yr...I can't come home to bed...I am going to work 8 hrs sometime on Fri before midnight....oh the joys of working from home I can log on whenever I want.    We get pd double time and a half so I'll be there LOL.    Gotta make up for all the money I spend in the am.

Off to Sam's Club for a 42 inch flat screen t.v.  If they are sold out, we already have a "regularly priced" tv picked out at Walmart so we aren't in a big rush -- hubby wants the free breakfast!!!  We had done a lot of research recently on mini cam recorders with hard drives and none were on sale this Friday so we purchased the one we wanted last weekend.  And we also were looking for a new digital camera and found one on sale this week that we love and I'll be buying that tonight.   I love the day after Thanksgiving.  One year my hubby had dropped me off and went to park the car.  I was at the right place at the right time and by the time he got into the store, I was checked out and headed out the door.  He drives me from  store to store drinking coffee in the car and reading the paper.  I don't have to park or anything.  It's great!!!! THAT is awesome, Barb. I need to get me a chauffeur (sp?)! Wouldn't it be fun to post that on CraigsList...LMAO...personal chauffeur needed to cart crazy female shopper around Friday morning, door to door service a must, and cheap rates as female will have spent her hubby's money on bargains. Must be willing to work 3:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. with no complaints or inquiries as to "are we done yet?". Oh...I can just imagine the responses.
