Lori P. - how did your morning go?

Well, I didn't get to talk with the HR rep until 230pm. I told her my story and gave her the written copy of what I posted on the boards. All she had to say was, "well, if you don't have PTO it's up to the manager's discretion to give you time off or not." When I mentioned the email and the inappropriateness of asking if EPA would be benificial to me, she states that EAP isn't just for mental help. But we all know that is basically what they are there for. So, basically I got no where. She told me I need to speak to Nan about my concerns. But, she is going to call Nan first to let her know she spoke with me about my concerns. I'm not sure if that will help or hurt me. I fully expect Nan to retaliate. Well............ here I go. I'll probably talk with Nan tomorrow.  Thanks for all your support. ANd thanks to EVERYONE for all the support I have received.  Hugs, Lori

THAT IS JUST CRAP!!!!!  I hope you get the other job and you can leave~!!!  How dare they treat YOU (who is sooooo sweat and dependable) that way!!!  GRRRR, me mad for you!

Lori, It may all not be bad....it's not like the HR people are going to "shame" Nan in front of you....they can't make it look like they take any "sides" just get both stories and go from there. They will ALWAYS talk to the other side and find out what they have to say...could be they have every intention to tell Nan to lighten up...if I recall correct you had those days off to start with, and now they are taking the away....it was so strange...my hubby called me from work today, he was all mad and upset...he had taken all last week off to be there to help me with my surgery and like back in the middle of Oct. he signed up To work Thanksgiving and the day after so he could build up his PTO bank a bit more (we celebrated Thanksgiving back a few weeks before my surgery) ANYWHO....today was his first day back into work and he happened to look at the schedule and found his name no longer on those 2 days BUT his supervisor stuck him working Sat. and Sun!! My hubby was soooo mad...he's heading up to HR tomorrow also....I'll cross my fingers for both of you!! It'll all work out....keep the faith!!

Oh dear! What's up with these people these days. I really hope he gets some where with HR. You are probably right. She wasn't able to act like she was on my side. Nan never did come talk with me. So, I wonder what's up with that? I'll have to call the HR rep tomorrow to see if she talked to Nan yet.  Give my regards to your hubby. I know how he is feeling.  Hugs, Lori

Oh Lori-  I'm soooo sorry.  I am hoping for you that with Nan knowing that you did bring this to someone else that she will not retaliate and be more reasonable.  Sorry I missed your original post about this.  I sure hope all works out for you.  It's not right that she gave you the time off originally and then changed her mind.  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers darlin!
