Update on ME
Thank you everyone!! I didn't actually end up sleeping in my own bed, I found it more comfortable to sleep in the recliner in the living room after starting out in my bed for the first 5 hours or so that I slept last night.
I ended up ignoring some gas pains hoping they'd just go away and they got progressively worse until I sent my mom to the store at 1am (she was still awake cleaning the house) to get me some GasX. I did some deep breathing relaxation stuff while she was gone and that seemed to help some. I took 2 GasX when she got back and they definitely helped. I can tell I don't have the background help of the Toradol every 6 hours anymore. The pain/soreness is worse than it was in the hospital. It's not unbearable by any means. Just uncomfortable really. Ended up taking 2 (separated by about 5 hours) of my dilaudid last night.
This morning I am doing good. I am up moving around with plans to hop in the shower here and get clean. I got my period the day of surgery and it's been getting heavier and heavier each day.
Last night I was walking the hall here at home and just wanted to fart! LOL I don't think it was the 1/4 cup of protein shake/milk I had for dinner. It had been building all day. I still have a little gas/pressure this morning, but it's much better than last night. Now that I have some GasX at home I will be much more proactive with it!!!
Thank you again everyone for your well wishes and support. I couldn't have done it without the experiences you've all had that you have shared that I have learned from. I felt so prepared and ready going into surgery and into this whole process. If I wouldn't have found OH I don't think I would have been feeling that prepared!! I owe it all to everyone of you wonderful people on this board!!!

Good morning Alayna....good to hear from you this AM.
Sounds like you have everything under control. I never had bad gas pains so I can't relate to that. Guess I was too busy recovering from my complications to notice!
I look forward to seeing you soon. Are you going to coffee in Maple Grove tomorrow??
Have a beautiful day sweetie!
Hugs, connie d
I was the gas queen after surgery! Still quite talented, come to think of it, but I've been drinking less milk and getting my protein from other sources a bit more. Dang, I actually got TIRED of farting like a cow on bad grass!!! But Gas-X is GOOOOOD!!!
Still, it's a good weapon I can call upon if needed (like, if the hubby opts to tick me off somehow...)
