Protein Powder Recipes

Can you guys give me some ideas for protein powder recipes?  I can't do the shakes any more -- they are making me sick.  And I don't eat enough food yet to get all my protein in so I'm going to try protein powder.  I have vanilla and chocolate whey protein powder but no idea what to mix them with that I could drink.  Any ideas would be appreciated!!! Thanks.....XXOO

Barb...  I have vanilla whey protein powder and use it in everything almost.. one protein shake I dearly love is...  8 oz skim milk ( or use 4 oz skim milk and 4 oz fat free yougurt) 1 scoop protein powder 2-3 tsp of sugar free chocolate syrup  or sugar free strawberry syrup 1/2 banana  blend in blender or magic bullet... its YUMMMMMY.. i also do  a smoothie with..  milk and/or yogurt protein powder 2-3 frozen berries  (blueberry, strawberry, blackberry) blend these up first and a little orange juice   I bought a little recipe book at the checkout stand of cub a few weeks ago too called Great Smoothie Recipes-  of course all the recipes are high fat so I just changed the ingredients to sugar free, low fat/fat free stuff.  and it works great!!   Hope this helps

Oh Gosh Barb.. i didnt even think that it might be the milk in your shakes thats making you sick, Im sorry.  You can try my smoothie recipes with just yogurt or yogurt and a couple of ice cubes too.  Good luck!!

Use Lactaid milk instead. It's totally awesome. Tastes exactly like milk and doesn't make you

Thanks -- I'll have to try that!!!  I LOVE MILK and this is really disappointing for me if I can't have milk -- but I'll try it again in a few months and see if my grouchy pouchy will handle it then.  If not, I'll deal cause that is a small price to pay for the surgery!!!! Thanks again!!!

It may be a milk intolerance. It made a world of difference when I switched to soy and/or water. Hope this helps, ~Michelle
