I SHOT MYSELF!!!

With B12!!! I had my pre-op physical today and requested I get a B12 shot today and learn how to give them to myself. I have opted to give myself a B12 shot once a month instead of sub-linguals each day. So, she drew up the B12 and showed me how until I interrupted her and told her I knew how to draw up meds, just have never given a shot. Especially not to myself!! She asked if I wanted her to give me the shot today or if I wanted to do it. I jumped right in and did it myself. I figured I will have to each month, might as well have my first one be in front of someone that can correct me if I do it wrong. It went really smooth, painless and easy. Just a little shot in the top of my leg into the muscle.

You're a brave gal!  I was supposed to poke myself once for blood testing--but I just couldn't do it.  I visit my family doctor every two weeks for my B12 shot--'cuz I'm such a chicken.  Maybe if I absolutely HAD to do it...
