NO NO NO!!!! I meant absolutely NOTHING political or controversial by using the term "Cheesy Government Holiday"!!! It is a term I apply to ALL the paid holidays we government employees get, simply because I feel a bit guilty for getting so many days off with pay, when the majority of people do NOT. Veteran's Day is 11/11, which happens to fall on a SUNDAY this year, so having MONDAY off to OBSERVE the holiday just seems - well, cheesy. I have the UTMOST respect for every single individual who serves or has served in the military, and did NOT mean any disrespect with my comment.

WHEW!! Thanks for clarifying your statement! You sure don't seem like a person who would 'diss' soldiers! And yeah--Canadian government employees and people who work in banking institutions get Monday off too. I always worked for the wrong team!
