The only place I have seen the Optifast was in the hospital. I know all you in Canada seem to have to use it. I was made to use another product called betterMD thru out center, it is just WonderSlim in another box. Same stuff used by medical weight loss.
BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
I am going back to my dr after 6 years ..I didnt lose all the weight I should of with my rny ..about 80 pounds I had abother 50 at least to go just couldnt ..I have felt like I did somthing wrong ..so mad at my self because I couldnt even do this right ..well am going to talk to the doc end of this month ..hopfully I can see what I can have done ..anyone else have any sugestions for me ?
I had Dr. Genaw. I loved him. He is a very straight forward man. I thought their after care was a little lacking. But I don't think you could ask for a better surgon.

I totally understand about the neck. My entire face is hanging. I hate it but I try to remember that I'm healthy and that was my goal. Maybe some day I'll take care of other areas. One thing at a time!
With my insurance covering part of it, I will pay about $7-8,000 out of pocket. That's if I don't need any extras like an extra day in the hospital, or the surgery took longer, etc. I went through Care Credit and got financing for part of it.

Dr, Pleatman complete a sleeve on me 2011. I am awaiting emergency revision surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Rogula will be completing a complete by pass due to stricture in my stomach. The stricture is due to error of Dr Pleatman according to Cleveland Clinic Doctor's. Doctor's in WV sent me to Cleveland Clinic right away and would not touch me. Another negative thing after Dr Pleatman's surgery he does not do swallow test to check for leaks. I too was a self pay as my insurance would not cover. I saw Dr.Pleatman one day and surgery the next morning, went home day after surgery. I have experienced GERD since day one.
