I am new to this site as of today. Congratulations on your surgery! How did it end up going? I also want to have a WLS surgery and was wondering if you had BCBS? My insurance won't cover it and I can't find an insurance who will. Any words of advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Does he offer payment plans? I cannot find an insurance to cover WLS and my insurance doesn't cover it. I am having a very hard time.

Hello Karen! I'm new to this site and just joined today. I am from Michigan also and was glad to find other Michigan posts. I'm really glad to hear that your husbands insurance covers some weight loss surgeries. I am still looking to find an insurance to cover it. I currently weight 285 pounds and the insurance I have doesn't cover anything.

Hi I joined this site forever ago but never posted. After 2 failed attempts at a medically supervised diet, I'm ready to try surgery. The failure was me but I need an additional crutch I suppose to get this weight off.
I live between Muskegon and Traverse City and am still looking at surgeons to use, I just found out that my husbands insurance will pay for several types of weight loss surgery, so I'm excited. Has anyone had any experience with Traverse City/Munson Center?
For me the wake up call came in Janurary when my 57 year old mom had a massive heart attack, after losing part of leg due to diabetes. She is now on permanent dialysis and in a nursing home (still, 7 months later) and is probably never coming home. She is morbidly obese and I'm following in her footsteps medically. I can not put my kids and husband through the hell I've been through recently dealing with her illnesses. I need to lose this weight!!!
About me. I'm a 38 year old woman who after raising 3 kids to semi adulthood has finally gone back to work. I love photography and just being outside in general. Currently I'm about 240 pounds, I havent weighed myself in a few months.

Has anyone had him at St Vincents in Camel? I'm trying to do research because I want RNY lap. I heard Dr Huse was the best but I thought I would ask here to. Do you know if any of the Dr's had any fatalities ? Did you do research what made you decide on the Dr you chose. I never thought finding a Dr would be so hard. I have to find a seminar yet , I live in South Bend. Thanks , any advise would be appreciated.
of my RNY....Really hoping the medications work....If not I was wondering the same question....Can a RNY be turned into a Sleeve???? My bestfriend just had the sleeve with Dr. Baker 10 months ago and is down almost 200lbs with ZERO issues....
