Topic: Needing a support buddy

Hi there,

Anyone live up near West Branch, Rose City, Mio area?

I am in serious need of a support partner(s).

I am struggling with food and need to have someone close to talk to and be my support person.

Thanks,

Tari

I was very surprised to see this activity on this forum. I sadly rarely come to this site anymore due to such a low amount of activity. So I NEVER hear of others who have had or are getting gastric plication surgery. I wonder often why not? I do not understand why this procedure is not more well known. I have had such great success with it with NO complications. Although, I will say at this point I do find myself needing to get back on track with my eating habits. But that is due to my own personal choices and nothing to do with the surgery at all. It is nice to see others are still getting this procedure and I hope it goes as well for each of you as it has me!

I stumbled across your post and wanted to see how you were doing. I just got the plication surgery a week ago and it was nice to read a familiar city! I live on the south side of GR

Topic: RE: help need a support buddy to help me get back on track

I had revision RNY in 2010.  I had regained 50# in the past 2 years. I have been able to lose 18 of that so far in part, using Myfitnesspal to keep track of protein, fats, daily calories, exercise, water intake.  It's been helpful tool for me.  I was told to shoot for 60-80gm protein.  I personally drink a protein shake ever morning.  My stomach still can't handle food until later in the a.m.  I'm focusing on protein, veggies and fruits.  I had a friend confront me and reminded me that I am capable of losing the excess weight.  She gave me confidence to begin.

I have not been on OH for some time.  I used to use this forum on a daily basis for support.  I figured this would be another tool that I can use to aid me in losing the excess weight I've put back on.

It is possible and You Can Do It!   WE Can Do It!

Dr. Nikolakeas 742-5701  She is awesome.  She is through Genesys but she would give you a referral to McLaren. She gave me mine to Hurley.

I'm not going to lie.  It was pretty painful, but it was SOOOO worth it.  I think the strangest part was when I decided to finally stop wearing the binder.  It felt so strange.  I still have a little numbness near my belly button, but aside from that it was definitely worth it.  I would do it all over again!
