Topic: 9 mths postop today
I had the sleeve on April 16, 2010. I have lost 129 lbs so far. I just put a few pictures on my profile yesterday if you want to go take a peek. Before at 354 lbs, today at 225 lbs. My first goal is to weigh less than my husband (219)..and then my next goal is to be at 199 by April 16th. My lowest goal weight is 170, then i'll see how I'm feeling, and what my body will allow me to do and maintain easily.
Looking forward to joining Snap Fitness here soon. They finally have one opening up in Ionia next month I believe. Cannot wait!

no Auto Industry here..lol My hubby is an RUO (Corrections)..so he has to work Monday..and every holiday. Christmas 2009 was his first Christmas off in 6 years. *sigh*
Not much happening here this weekend. Just crossing my fingers we don't get too much snow this week. I hate driving in snow, so ready for spring! :)

I am retired form the automotive industry so I don't have to go anywhere LOL and I always have Mondays off. LOL
How ever it was darn nice of the UAW to negotiate a day off the celebrate my Birthday every year January 18Th. The same day as that Martin Luther King guy's actual B day too. Wasn't he lucky to be born the same day I was so we could have a special Monday in January.
Have fun guys!. I use to get my Birthday off every year.

Hi Jean,
Just planning on taking the kids to a movie today. I also work in automotive, so I am off Monday too. Boy Tuesday will be busy!
Salad sounds good. I like mine with alot of fixins. Eggs, ham, cheese, bacon, hey sounds like breakfast!
Enjoy your night out.

There are two internal medicine doctors at U of M that are now also doing bariatric follow-ups. I would think they are also seeing other patients since they are both internal medicine and you could have them as a PCP. I was thinking if I continue to have low iron counts, I'm going to go see one of them. The first is a woman, the second is a man. The links include the phone numbers.
Elif Oral, M.D.
Assistant Professor, Department of Internal Medicine
Adult Bariatric Surgery Medical Director
Specialty: Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes
Clinical Interests: Insulin resistance, obesity, lipid disorders, type 2 diabetes and type 1 diabetes

Congratulations Sandy! You look amazing :) I love your hair.
I can relate to the many changes this year has brought, mostly good but some things not so good.

MY pcp is in the henry ford system. His office is at beck road and M14
but my labs are sent to the sergeon in the bariatric med department and to my pcp so if there were a problem then someone would catch it.
If you have questions about labs I suggest you send a message to PamT. She is very knowledgabe about that and might be able to answer some of your questions!
