I really cannot remember the time.  Their Monday night meetings are from 5pm til 6pm, every week.  They have a specific topic on their Thursday night meetings, the first and third Thursday's of the month.  This week is Transfer Addictions.  I believe everyone is welcome.  When I went to one before, they passed around a paper for people to sign, and you just checked if you were a member or not.  Call and ask just to be sure.  I'll find out what time and post it here tomorrow.

Go to www.grandhealthpartners.com their phone number is at the upper right of the page.

Located in Grand Rapids right at Grand Health Partners office.  I think Thursday meetings were from 6-7..but will check for sure.

I've tried to learn from those who have 'been there, done that'!  I'd listen to Kristy....mind you I haven't, but I do see the intelligence in her strategy :), I'm over 3 years out and have regained about that much too.

Good luck,

Edie

What time and where?  Is it open to patients from other surgeons?

I do crave carbs!  Espiecially in the winter time.  But also sugar.  Never got over that sweet tooth of mine.  My plan is to get back "on the wagon" right now.  Thanks for your suggestions and good words.  :)

I was about 3-1/2 years out and started gaining back... After only about 6 months, I had put back on about 50 pounds... But I was diligent and worked hard, got more activity and took that off, plus another 20 pounds or so.....  You can do it... Just don't let it get out of control, you gain control of it NOW!!!!  It is always going to be an uphill battle in my opinion, but we can do it with commitment and discipline.... Good Luck....

I have a Keurig machine and use both the flavored and unflavored coffees. The flavored coffees in the K-cups do not have sugar in them; the Via instant coffees from Starbucks that are flavored do have sugar in them, however. There is a distinction. Flavored coffees that are bean-based do not have sugar in them.

I like the cinnamon pastry flavor and the Gloria Jean Mudslide. I use the cinnamon pastry one with my protein in the morning. Yummy. I also like the bolder ones for the "large" size cups (I have an older Keurig that has just small and large size servings). I've tried several different flavors.

I went caffeine free for almost two years before having regular coffee again. So now it's been four years on caffeine.

Call his office and they will connect you to the right person.  I did my bloodwork through them as well as the EKG.  I had my surgery last February, he is a great surgeon and has a wonderful staff.
