I have not been to any of the support meetings yet.  As of now, I haven't officially been accepting into the program, so I can't go to the meetings.  I can hardly wait for March 3 to get things really going!!

Hello - Dr. Birkmeyer did my surgery!  I was at their support group meeting tonight.  Have you been to any of them?  For U of M you are required to attend two of them.  There are usually people there who have had both the sleeve and the bypass who can answer questions for you.

Congrats on maintaining your weight loss, you should be so proud of yourself!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can get your insurance co. to cover your TT!

Topic: Continuing my Journey!

Well, now that I am 1 pound within goal and held this weight for almost 3 years now, I am ready to continue my journey and start looking into PS!!!!!

The doctor I want to go through does take my insurance and if I can get my PCP to document that all my back problems are due to my excess skin I MAY be able to get it covered!!!!

I have an appointment for my annual labs in 2 weeks, then I will meet with my PCP the following week.  I will talk to them about it then.  I just hope they will help me out in this area so that I can get my PS covered.  If it is covered I will probably get it done this spring or summer, if not then it will have to wait until next year so we can pay for it with our taxes (this years taxes are already taken up, lol).

Wish me luck in my next venture in my journey.  I REALLY want to see all this skin GONE!!!!  I know that the BL I want done won't be covered so that will have to wait, but the TT hopefully will be covered and I can get it done this year!!!!

HUGS to ALL!!!!

Imagine my surprise when I opened up the Michigan forum this morning and there was Christine Becker listed as a Plastic Surgeon!!!!!

Christine is a registered dietician with Grand Health Partners -- NOT A PLASTIC SURGEON.

Good grief!
