I do believe surgery was a success. I am still sore from the RNY but each day it gets a little better. Just following the Dr orders, sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk and resting.

Just a note to let people know that I am having surgery RNY, on Monday, Oct 6th.
I had RNY in Oct of 2009 I have been very happy with my success at weight loss. I have always wished it had been more but 60% of my excess weight was successful.
I still do protein and watch what I eat. Exercise and water are my flaw. I know that stich (my pouch) is still in good shape cause he has tantrums when I fall off the wagon.
I wish every one as much success as I have had if not more.

If you're losing quickly right now it could be due to ketosis. Ketosis can cause a smell to your breath, urine and sweat.
Hi Donna, I am having surgery at the Barix Clinic in Ypsi - I hope everything works out and I get a confirmation on the date, tht would be wonderful! And I won't be tempted to eat like crazy during the holiday season that follows.

I have surgery October 6th. I started my liquid diet (5 protein shakes a day).
Where are you having your surgery?

My doctors office called me just a few moments ago and let me know that my file is ready to go and I am only waiting on my doctor to sign off on the file which she is hoping he will be in by Friday of this week. I was told by the surgery scheduling department that if the doctor signs off on my surgery by Friday they have my date as ......wait for it.........November 25, 2014!! (Yeah, get it little skinny person!) 
This is the PERFECT date for me becuase it is right before Thanksgiving and I have 3 days off that week already! I am loving it! I am soooo excited. Now I just have to hope and pray that my doctor shows up this week and signs off on my chart. Come on my OH family send some prayers out for me to get this date firmed up!

Pretty in Pink, I have heard good things about your doctor from mine.
Do you go to the support group meetings? Maybe we will run into each other sometime Kalamazoo people. I haven't went to the Borgess groups yet but I intend to.
