After all these years I've finally got it.  I begin next month with a visit to my new doctor and she will do the referral.  I'm super stoked!

Topic: RE: Short term disability?

I did since my insurance covered it and both the insurance and my Dr said it was medically necessary. Was approved for 4 weeks off and Dr. could have extended if he felt I needed more time (which he didn't).

I haven't talked to my primary or my internal med dr yet but I have appts for both coming up this week and next week. Sounds like without the laproscopic view they wouldn't have seen your problem. Glad she treated the symptoms.

Hello Rita,

Yes I sure did have one done.  Upper GI results were non conclusive.

I was impacted as I have been before.

When I had that last 7 cm illius, the gastric bypass surgeon decided to do an exploratory laparoscopy.

She seen that part of my intestine was getting stuck in my "Y".  So sometimes I would bloat, be rock hard and the pain was so excruciating.  For me that was the illius.

The surgeon went in, she tacked a small part of my intestine and did a very small revision.  She also took care of some adhesions.

I feel so much better.

This woman was the only physician to look at me and go through my medical records from the time I had my gastric bypass to the present.  She believed me.

I had seen every specialist there is.  I was just passed on and on.

Let me know how things go.

Penny
