1 Week out - I've hit the whatdidIdo wall.. :help:
Hi all... I've been a lurker for many moons, but have finally joined the club. After about 9 mos of insurance nonsense, I finally got my approval and had my surgery on April 11 with Dr. Pesta at Bi-County. The surgery and hospital experience wasn't that bad - I have a wonderfully supportive husband who was great - but now I'm home and am having a heckuva time.
In a lot of pain - the Loritab keeps me up - and what little sleep I have is terrible. Can't get all my protein or water in. And just feel nasty.
Please tell me this will get better.
I go for my first follow up visit tomorrow - hopefully I'll lose the staples and drain - and maybe feel a little more human. But I'm really ready for this stage to pass.
Thanks for all the insight and information ya'll have posted on this site. It did help me get prepared for this but I don't think anyone can really tell you what it's like - you have to experience it yourself. (And the first person that says I took the 'easy way' - I promise you I'm going to deck them! :zap:
