Scheduled for Hernia Repair and TT.

You should expect to be taken care of WONDERFULLY!!!!! Dr. S did my hernia repair and tt on April 10th. I ended up with a full abdominoplasty to repair my entire abdominal muscle (it's VERY tight). I stayed just overnight. Came home with one drain in and a pain pump in. The pain pump came out about four days after I came home (hubbie was able to take it out just fine, it was nothing) and my drain came out at my one week apt. I was on oral pain meds for about five days and I haven't had a need for medication since. Now, of couse, everyone's results differ. You could come home with more then one drain depending on your bodys needs. I was glued together externally and steri striped. Those came off a little after week two. Now I'm putting Mederma on my scar which is looking pretty darn good!!!! The hospital was great. The nurses were very good. My husband spent the night with me, so I think they really appreciated having him there to help me to the bathroom and what not. Rating my experience from 1 to 10 - I know for sure that mine was a 12!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wishing you the best on your surgery!!!!!! Laurie
