Plastic surgery and Insurance
Hi Everyone,
I just got my surgery date today, so maybe I am jumping the gun a bit. I just know I am going to want to have the plastics done once i arrive at my goal weight and I was wondering who has had it done and what their opinion was of it. Also, I will be needing to get new insurance in August and was wondering if you can share your insurance company with me for those of you that were approved for it through insurance. I figure if I have to choose and insurance company, I might as well choose one that is likely to approve me for plastics, right? I know I won't be able to afford the plastics that I'll want out of pocket. Is there an insurance company that any of you have had that is more likely to approve plastics? If so, which one is it? I'd really appreciate the info.
Thanks,
Mousie
I would not choose an HMO then. The thing is that each company is different and what they elect for coverage is different. Companies save money by excluding certain procedures. It all depends on how generous they ar the person making the decisions. Someone might get approval through a comapny like Aetna, but another person may be denied for a written exclusion. I would get the info from your company first.
