OT: ER VISIT
Well....it got worse before it got better.
Around 11am I started barfing AGAIN....
And went over to see my WLS Surgeon...who was unfortunately in surgery and said for me to "GO TO THE ER".
So his nurse took me down. I was shaking, throwing up, and just miserable.
They also took note that I had threw up so hard, I felt like I blew a blood vessel in my right lower head (above my right eye).
They did blood work, started an IV and I had a Cat skan done on my head two times (the first one came back looking funny so they did a 2nd one) which turned out ok.
They also did a CT Skan on my chest down to my lower belly to see if there was a blockage of any kind.
TURNS OUT ---------I WAS FOS. FULL OF S*IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The recommendation was fiber, fiber, fiber, fiber, fiber, fiber, fiber, and more fiber. I also was told to drink a half a bottle of Citrate of Magnesium (which is generally given prior to colonoscopies and some surgeries to clean out your bowels) and to drink 2 large glasses of water before I went to bed.
I was there a total of 8.5 hours (ugh) and then afraid, terribly afraid, that I would be admitted. But, I wasn't. (sigh)
I got home and took some stuff (starts with an L) and drank plenty of water and ate some protein. Well it worked. I'm clean as a whistle now.
Then this morning, to make me even more nervous, my PCP called me with bad results on my recent "womens" physical exam and now I have to take some antibiotic crap (not orally) for three days then reschedule another exam.
So what a pleasant Month of May this has been for me already.
I'm fine now, just a little on edge from everything that has happened within the past 24 hours. Thank goodness nothing was really "seriously" wrong with me. I don't want to be in a hospital bed.
And yes, I did go to the hospital here in Mount Pleasant, though I despise it thoroughly, I did notice a somewhat nicer change in how I was treated and people there (nurses, etc) were more attending than my previous 240 million visits (ok, not that many really-- I am exxaterating!!!)
Whew. What a wild week and it's only Tuesday.
Thanks for caring all of you.

Stacy - glad you are feeling better. ER is a pain but they are ok - I like Dr. Doughty. I have noticed that I will occassionally go several days without a BM. You might need to keep a stool softener around like Colace just in case.
Have actually eaten carbs a couple times just to see if they would move things along - just some whole wheat toast - nothing major. Going to the firefly for dinner at the casino tonight, though, so might have to try dessert - at least they have some sugar free choices....
I'm glad you got this taken care of, i know the feeling all too well. my doc told me to use flax seed , but instead i take omega 3 vitamins, which is borage/fish oil/ flax oil. after i started these i have never had a problem. you can get the store brand , which is what i get and its fairly cheap. Read up on it, it really is better to me than all the fiber, and there are lots of benefits to the fish oil also. Thank God you didn't have to stay, i hope you get some rest.
Hugs
