I HAVE A DATE!
I cant believe this process has gone by so quickly. I had my consultation on April 21st. They wanted to schedule my surgery for May 15th but that was just too soon. I had not even spoke to my employer about taking time off work yet. So I am scheduled for May 22nd, just one month from the date that I started this process.
My employer isnt being very supportive so right now I am having a wirlwind of emotions. I dont know how to feel exactly. I wont let him change my mind but I also dont want to have to go to work every day and feel uncomfortable around him. A day that I should be so happy about, but yet I just want to cry. People can be so insensitive!
Until later,
Stacy
Congrats Stacy!!!!!!!!!!!
My employer was TOTALLY supportive in that once that surgery occured for me, I would be healthier, happier and a much better employee.
Take a look at where you are now, and what you will accomplish in 6 short months, and write down the good things that you can provide to your employer and show them to him in writing. Not a promise, but that you can offer MORE of yourself without have MORE of yourself present!!! (you get that?)
My employer knew I wanted this done so I could live longer, healthier and be happier which inevitably, MAKES US HAPPIER AND MORE PRODUCTIVE.
Let that shine through now so he can see what a marvelous thing this will be for you!!!
Best wishes!!
Can't wait to see you on the losing bench!!!
