Need help convincing Dad

Hey there everyone! Happy Friday! I am wondering if anyone has any advice for me as in how to get my dad on board for this surgery. He is the only one who is seriously trying to talk me out of it. Being the youngest of 4, I of course am a "daddy's girl" and his support is so important to me. I am scheduled for surgery on July 17th and he is really trying to talk me out of it. I am only 33 and he says that is too young and that I should just "excercise". Of course my dad was the local football hero in high school and thinks you can do anything through excercise! Yeah right!!!!!!!! As if I haven't tried that for the past 20 years. Not to mention my dad doesn't think there is anything wrong with being a "larger" woman. He actually only dates large woman. LOL go figure. He came over yesterday to talk to me about it he drove over an hour since we do not live in the same town. His doctor has told him that the surgery isn't a good idea so now he says he will have me talked out of it by the time my date comes. Well, I can tell you right now that is not going to happen. I have made up my mind and I am looking forward to starting this new journey in my life. However, it does make it hard not having my dad there to support me. So...now that I have rambled FOREVER any advice???? Thanks have a great weekend!!! Di
