Surgical Slimmers

As you may or may not know, I work for PBS. Recently, we aired a program entitled "Scientific America" where host Alan Alda spoke to and interviewed patients, medical professionals, and folks who are/were morbidly obese looking for answers. The program was entitled "Surgical Slimmers" and offered solutions for these people. One interesting NEW program they are studying and have actually performed is called a "PACER" in which it is implanted and sends signals to your brain indicating you are full. Whether this option is available here in Michigan I do not know.
