I have noticed that a look a bit older than I really am since I lost my weight. Is this gonna be permanent?? Am I gonna have to result in a mini face lift??

I'm not "Flabby" but I did notice that my face muscles (especially neck) seemed to droop more the months after WLS. I was sure I would need a face and neck lift but as time went on the droopyness seemed to improve. Just my opinion, but give it some time before you pay for the lift.

Rhonda, I know exactly what you mean. My body looks younger, but my face looks older. I guess that extra fat on my face helped hide some of the wrinkles and such. I am noticing lines around my mouth before that I didn't notice before the weight loss. Oh well, I guess we can't have it all, huh? Shelia

Me too!! I took a picture of myself all dressed up and looked at my face and thought "Who is that old lady looking at me?" LOL! Oh well, nobody seems to notice much except for me, so I guess it is no big deal! Wendy

I have heard of people not wanting to lose weight because then their lines wouldn't be filled in. I think it may have been Oprah (or Rosie) that mentioned once that "fat doesn't crack" it helps fill up the lines and keep skin from sagging. I would rather look like a thin older person than a young heavy one! Any day! Randi

Dear older looker, No it is not permanent. You will start to look even older in a couple of years and by the time you are in your fifties you will look like Jon. Flabby
