A gal in my support group is having trouble getting in her protein. She's 6 months out, but still can't eat a lot. I suggested trying another protein drink to catch her up. Other ideas for her?

Protein drinks would be the easiest. Maybe she needs to try a different kind. I think our tastes change. I drink a different one than I did at first. Protein bars and peanut butter on low sodium crackers are good too; but if she isn't getting her meals in, maybe she shouldn't be snacking. My all time protein meal is 2# lean ground beef (cooked with onions and drained), add a can of Bushs vegetarian baked beans, and about a 1/3 to 1/2 of a 2# loaf of Velvetta's light cheese until cheese is melted. I put it in containers and freeze it. It's always a quick meal. You could probably doctor it up with other things, but it is pure protein.

The carbmaster yogurts have 12 g of protein and a scoop of unjury adds another 20. It is liquidy so it goes down easy and you can't taste the protein in it. Wendy

What up Hottie? Isopure. It's easy and a half a bottle is all you need for three hours. kp

Here is a great solution. There is a protein drink called Profect, you can order it online. It comes in little 2.7 oz individual test tube size. And there are 25 grams of protein in each drink, and no sugar and no fat, 100 calories. And best of all they are delicious, can't even taste the protein. They are very sweet, 2 gulps and it is gone. You can even carry the little tubes in your purse, though they are best cold. There are 4 flavors. I was introduced to them by a bariatric dietician. They have a website Protica.com...check it out.
