I MISS YOU ALL PLEASE READ AND TELL ME IF ANY ONE CAN HELP?????
Hello Everyone
I hope everyone is doing great, I miss being on the board every day but since I moved back home I can never get on the computer my parents are always on the pc, and we only have the internet hooked up in one room. I am doing good I haven lost 70 lbs in 8 weeks. I am still not eating much I went back friday to see if I had another stricture and they said no but dialated me anyways. The surgeon said that I am having esophogus spasms, which means that my esophogus is not contracting at the right time, I have not gotten past stage three soft foods and baby food, I drink my protein but havent had any real food since surgery, I knew I had consequences with this surgery and I am just taking it one day at a time.
Every one tells me I am alot smaller. I have not weighed 286 since 1999. I feel good most days but tired alot. I go dancing with my friends which I was not able to do it is so fun, I have met alot of new people in just two months. I am happy I had surgery and I know when god wants me to I will eat what I am supposed to be. How is everyone doing? IT would be nice to hear how everyone is doing with there lifes, I also am looking for a job in clerical if any one can network for me I have 10 years of office exp But when I went back to work i was told they filled my position and let me go, i am in dire straights right now with out a job I live in clinton township but I am willing to drive up to 40 miles one way, If any one can help please let me know. Wow, 70 pounds in 8 weeks!
Sorry your having such a time of it but with your positive attitude it will be a memory soon.
It is so nice to feel the difference in your body.
Doing things like bending over and tying my shoes is now easier.
Have you tried area hospitals in the secretary areas. Many are looking for people and typically do not advertise.
Good luck on the job search. I know it is very stressful to have to think about a job and your journey at the same time.
Good Luck and keep us posted.
Hugs back to you,
Mary
Hi Angie - just wanted to say "hang in there!". I know about the job situation - but I think it's all "meant to be" - or what I call "a God thing". I worked for GE for 4 years - had a lot of responsibilities - and they outsourced my position to India! It's probably going to blow up in their face - but for me, it's given me the freedom to go ahead and have my WLS surgery - as well as some badly needed Carpal Tunnel surgery. I'm only 2 weeks out - and also went with Dr. Pesta and bi-county. Awesome! (Except I didn't have Phillip - I had some other gal that was a little difficult - but I won her over!
I read thru your profile - it seems like you've gone thru a lot - but it was very encouraging for me - thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
Take Care! Lynda
