Post-Op pouch question
At over 2 years out, I still don't understand about pouch size. I ate the exact same dinner 2 nights in a row with the same size meal portion. Yesterday, I ate the entire plate and felt like I could eat more. Tonight, I couldn't eat more than 2/3 of it. I ate it at the same speed, didn't drink any liquid during or after the meals. How can the pouch change sizes from day to day. Those of you who may think that I missed the "feeling full" message yesterday, I can assure you that is not it. Does anyone who is further out have this same experience? On days like today, I call it my "small pouch" day. For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out a reason for it. I know some things I can eat more of on a given day because it chews up easier. However, how can you account for the exact same food on successive days? Anybody want to conjure up an explanation?
Jon
Hi Jon,
I am about 2 1/2 years out and I am totally with you on this one!!!!!! I have yet to find anyone that can answer that one for me either. It is pretty baffling.
Some days I can eat what feels like a truck load of food and never really feel full and other times if drink a little water it lasts forever or if I just eat a few bites of food it seems to last forever and I feel like I don't even want to see food again for awhile.
I don't get this one either. I just know in the very beginnig a little bit of anything and I felt really full. It didn't matter what it was.
Good Luck and fill me in too if you ever get the answer to this one.
