Something Special for my friends and losers!
I began my radio career back in 1981 at a little rinky dink station down in Kentucky barely making 4.00 an hour and working the worst shift possible. Weekends and overnights.
Today, some 25 years later, I have retired my "Professional Radio Career" as a full time DJ to be an Engineer. However, my life in voice work is far from over as I still today can be heard in the Alpena, Rogers City and Oscoda area as the girl who does liners and sweepers on Thunder Country out of Alpena.
I wanted to share with you a 60 second sample of some of my best work in radio - doing a commercial. I have so much work that I am proud of (I would say my interview and time spent personally with Richard Marx would top the list) that this is just a smidge of my pride.

Thanks for letting me share ....
By the way, Mom and I are heading down to Kalamazoo tomorrow for a weekend of Memory Making.....as it was one year ago tomorrow morning that I boarded a Northwest Airline to fly to Sarasota, Florida, to be with my Mom and Dad for a week. Since Dad passed on, (February 15, 2006), I chose to ask Mom to come here this week so that we could spend time as a family and make some memories.
One of those memories is that we will be attending the Sunday performance at Miller Auditorium of Phantom of the Opera. I believe that Dad would approve and will be with us every moment. So in the morning I'm off to Kalamazoo...if you see me please say HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII skinny!!!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend of memories yourself....

Hello, thanks
I was asked to be their "spokesperson" during my tenure at the Van so that's why I was doing their ad then.
No, I never was in Detroit, born there, but never did radio there. I did however do News for the Michigan News Network as a correspondent from WATZ in Alpena now and then, and my voice might have been heard that way.
Stacey,
I currently live in Holland and know your voice. When hearing your voice before I often thought, wow she has a great radio voice. I'm a wanna be radio host....my dad was in radio when I was little and I worked at my high school and college radio station. Love the work, not sure about the cut throat competition. Anyway, it is so nice to put a voice with a face. Have fun at Phantom.
