I posted before about all the tummy issues I was having of late.

I went to the Gastro doc and she told me I most likely have a narrowing of the JJ anastamosis...so, I will be getting an upper GI and fingers crossed I will be able to get this fixed!

Thank you all for your support...

Penny

Hi Penny Just wondering what the outcome of your upper GI was? I have been having issues with bloating and horrible pain and constipation which are all newly onset. I am 10yrs post op from RNY. It doesn't happen every time I eat but when it does it is extremely painful.

Hello Rita,

Yes I sure did have one done.  Upper GI results were non conclusive.

I was impacted as I have been before.

When I had that last 7 cm illius, the gastric bypass surgeon decided to do an exploratory laparoscopy.

She seen that part of my intestine was getting stuck in my "Y".  So sometimes I would bloat, be rock hard and the pain was so excruciating.  For me that was the illius.

The surgeon went in, she tacked a small part of my intestine and did a very small revision.  She also took care of some adhesions.

I feel so much better.

This woman was the only physician to look at me and go through my medical records from the time I had my gastric bypass to the present.  She believed me.

I had seen every specialist there is.  I was just passed on and on.

Let me know how things go.

Penny

I haven't talked to my primary or my internal med dr yet but I have appts for both coming up this week and next week. Sounds like without the laproscopic view they wouldn't have seen your problem. Glad she treated the symptoms.
