Thursday's Question of the Day:
Have you ever blamed anyone or anything else for your obesity?
My answer: yes, during the years, I have blamed several things and people. The first thing was Diabetes type I. I blamed the weight gain on the insulin, which is ridiculous. Its barely a contributing factor. Then I blamed post traumatic stress syndrome due to issues in the past. Bad marriage, bad husbands, bad bosses. The list goes on.
Finally, I forgave myself, and then acceptance. The key to forgiveness is NOT TO BLAME. That is a hard one, huh?

Like you I have put blame on a lot of different things at different times. Mostly being pregnant for 3 straight years. Yes that may have added in some additional weight gain, but my lack of exercise and a big appeite is what really did it. Over the years I became use to being lazy. I suffer from depression, and fibromyalgia. So I used both of those as a crutch. An excuse. But I am the one and only one/thing to blame. I did this to myself. And now I can not loose it on my own. I let me get this way.
The only way to have this tool work for you is to accept blame and overcome your food issues.
