Bariatric research

Dear Potential Research Participant,

Thank you for your recent participation in an online survey about food preferences 
following bariatric surgery that was compensated $25. Because you indicated that we could 
contact you for future studies, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to 
assist us with our next effort to better understand post-bariatric surgery outcomes.

We are recruiting adults with a history of bariatric surgery for a laboratory study of 
food choice behavior. Interested individuals are invited to complete a 20-minute 
screening survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/F7DXCZ7 to determine eligibility. 
Eligible participants will then be invited to come to Eastern Michigan University in 
Ypsilanti to participate in a lab session that involves a computer task and the provision 
of small amounts of food. Participants who complete the lab session will be compensated 
with a $50 Amazon gift card for their time and travel. Please note that individuals only 
completing the screening survey will not receive compensation.

That was very interesting.  They asked how long since surgery and I picked 1 year 6 months - although it has been more like 1 year 7 months, and it said I wasn't eligible to take the survey.  Wonder what demographic they are looking for...

So sorry I did this... I have been getting sooo much junk mail because of it.... I am beyond frustrated now... At least 10 a day from this and it is all junk and spam... 

 

I know you didn't know, just wanted to put this out there so no one else tries it... It is just a scam to get your email address.... WOW.... 

 

 

 

WOW i am sorry I never got anything after completing the survey! except the 25.00 gift cirtifacate email for Amazon.com. If you joined surveymonkey you may need to go to the bottom of the one of the emails and select the opt out to discontinue any further contact from them. keep me posted and I will remove the post if it causes any others problems .
