I am in Stage 1  YES ONE!! so what the hell why wouldn't the cancer doc tell me that??
In Jan. I have to go to the Kellogg eye center because during treatment it was eith hit the optic nerve or the Brain stem so the optic nerve it was. March I have the cancer center then who knows..
I am still loosing my hair and I was told to expect that for a YEAR at least  :(

Mary,
I hate the drive to U of M BUT I would also hate goin to my local hospital even worse. The little hospitals are NOT equiped to treat a brain cancer pt. I am NOT saying ALL small hospitals bUT the one on went to on a ER basis was looking for a tumor that was TAKEN out..
thanks for the thoughts & prayers

Oh Mary.. I Knew what you were saying.. it's just sad that the Local hospital can't treat  a illness like Cancer. Some of the docs it makes me wonder where they came from . Just before I started radation I  went to the local hospital cuz I just didn't feel right.. they looked for the tumor that  was gone then said I was having a "hot flash"  LOL In realality I had a infection up my nose..
I am doing good now and I WILL fight this cancer..

So sad and unforutnately you are not the only one who has expeirenced this kind of diagnoses when treated at the local ER. I had a friend who was sent home from ER told he had a pinched nerve and passed away for massive coronary in the recliner the same day!.
Maybe that drive is well worth good medical care and those that have knowledge and access to your medical informations.
