EGD - pre op procedure on Thursday and Nervous

I am scheduled for a EGD on Thursday - and I am a litte nervous about. Any advice about what I should expect? Will be extremely groggy after procedure? I guess I am really nervous and excited at the same time if that is possible because this will be the last step hopefully before I get my surgery date!

This is a very easy procedure....they will give you something to relax and you won't remember anything.  You will usually wake up quickly, and possibly have a bit of a scratchy throat. 

Don't be nervous, and hope you get your surgery date soon.

 I agree with Pat. (I had one non related to WLS) I am a gagger and had no problems whatsoever!
