Good Morning Everyone!

This is a weekly post to record the progress that we've made toward our wls goals.  Today, if you would like, just share with us how your weekend was, how you felt, if you dealt with any particularly difficult issues, if you worked out and what you ate.  Mix it up, this forum is yours to use as needed...

All week, I urge you to revisit this post and update us if you have had any successes or overcame any obstacles, we would love it!  Again, this can be your journal if you'd like!

Hey all,

I will start this thread with how my weekend was....

I started it out great with starting up my walking routine.  I am trying to begin with 10 mins of walking and working my way up every few days til I get to 30 mins.  I did it on Sat, but not on Sun.  I also made horrible wls meal decisions.  I ate so many carbs, that I am sure I put on weight!

But, this is a new week - a new hour - a new meal and choice.  You can ALWAYS RESTART YOUR DAY ANYTIME!  If I mess up, I will restart it again and again.

Today's Goals/Meals:
Breakfast: protein oatmeal
Snack: cheese stick
Lunch: salad and ckn breast
Snack: protein shake
Dinner: Salisbury steak and green beans
Snack: cottage cheese

Exercise: walk for 15 mins on lunch hour and 10 mins tonight on treadmill...

How about you???

BM

P.S. PLEASE REMEMBER TO DO SOMETHING RELAXING FOR YOU TODAY.  MAKE THE TIME, YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IS AS IMPORTANT AS YOUR PHYSICAL HEALTH!!! YOU CAN TAKE A LONG BATH, READ A FEW CHAPTERS OF A BOOK, KNIT, ETC....

Good morning!

This weekend  started out  stressful for me, personal relationships type stuff but  after a nice weekend and  lots of  talking, everything is okay  and I am more in love than ever. I am almost 7 weeks post op from a  tummy tuck/breast  reconstruction so I went back to my  first yoga session  since then, and it was amazing. I am so looking forward to 2 more weeks when I  can  add to my yoga, kick boxing and running. Funny how I  replaced a  food addiction with  a workout addiction.

I did great with protein on  Saturday but  Sunday I  fell a  few grams  short.  I must admit it is so much easier reaching my protein goals when I am at work because I am more on schedule than not.

BoxerMom,

I came home from work and took a hot  bubble bath to relax. I had an issue with  hypoglycemia at work so I was a little  shaken.

thanks for this BM Hi Romeo.......

the week end was stressful because i am training for my new job. I must pass some test on a computer most of the programs have tutorials but in the end the last test did not. it appeared to me to be one you would take after hands on training or should be issues a process guide on how/what the company policies treat the situations. but non was issued. I did my best to guest assumption the test. well i got a score of 20 of 23. which by the way was not passing. they want 100%. so to help me the manager training me did the test a second time. 18 of 23. then later a second manager took the test for me. 16 of 23. well how do they expect me, someone who has never been employed there to pass the test with out proper information, if the management people can't even pass the test. Seems like four hours wasted to  me. by the way I passed all the other training stuff 100%.  any way that is that.

food was good but not necessarily on program. I need to get refocused and behave. I am hoping that having a job will help me restructure and get back on the ball. I have not regained any weight but I have been at stand still for a while now.
Been trying to get all my vitamins in but still missing the pm ones often. and water is almost never happens like it should. I have lost my discipline and am kicking my self ever day.

I had some Greek yogurt for breakfast today and  Qudoba mango chicken taco salad for dinner with a small cup of guacamole dip on the side and a Zero Water.

the new job has a walking program challenge and they give you a pedometer to track your steps too. I want to join as soon as I get my test done!
Thanks for putting this post of accountability up today.

Hi Mary,

I am glad you are doing so well in your training, but I expected nothing less from you.  You are a smart lady!

Well, I had small successes throughout the day yesterday.  I did not walk the 10 mins I wanted to, but as far as meals went, I made better decisions.  Although I over-carbed it.  Today is a new day and I will succeed each hour at a time.

I plan on keeping this thread going all week, so we all can track our progress.  Just look back to Monday and keep your mind moving forward.

Todays Goals:

1.  eat a protein infused breakfast

2.  walk 10 mins on my treadmill before lunch

3.  bike ride with the kids

4.  DO SOMETHING RELAXING FOR ME!  Dogpark it is!  [You will see Dogpark a lot as it is very theraputic to my soul seeing mother nature at work....]

Hi BM Tuesday and not doing too bad.
I made some rigatoni with low fat ricotta and low fat cottage cheese spinach and mushrooms, baked in sauce made from scratch no salt but a lot of spices. served with a big salad of greens and tomatoes.

fresh strawberries and Greek yogurt for a snack

didn't exercise much since I spent most of the day sleeping off some sinus medicine I took last night.

Tomorrow focus
Walk 10000 steps
drink 8-8oz of water
get 80 gs of protein
and take my vitamins

first day on with the hands on training tomorrow! wish me luck

ok, its weds and yest was kind of a flop.  i was stressed so i barely ate, and when i did it was comfort foods, like carbs of course.  but i did add protein powder to much of what we ate.  i even put it in the pancake mix for the kids!  Today is a new day and a chance to start over...

Here is my meal/exercise list:

1/4 c hot granola with protein powder
baked beans for lunch or some sort of bean salad
salsbury steak for dinner
cheese sticks in between for snacks

bike ride
10 mins treadmill
15 mins walking around dog park which is my relaxation time for ME

dont forget to make time for yourself to relax today!
