Hi all,
I haven't been online all week ~ no school for my hubby on Tuesday due to the mega snow we got, and then he got the 24 hour flu Tuesday night and sick Wednesday, so no school!!  So, I am finally getting online this week tonight!!  LOL

Anyways, I do the wii fitness and when I got on it Tuesday to work out, it told me I am no longer overweight!! I am in the normal category now!!  YAY!!  I weighed 147 Tuesday morning.  Feeling great!!

I have a question for you all:  I can't remember if it's ok or not, but can we chew on ice?  I am graving it all the time now.  I will get a water bottle almost frozen in freezer and then cru**** and chew on the ice pieces.  And, when we are at the college, I get a huge cup of ice (the small pieces) and just chew on them.  Is it ok?

Thanks all,
God Bless,
Tari

Tari,   Woo Hoo!  Congratulations on being normal.

Just wanted to mention craving ice is a symptom of low iron so you might want to check that out.

Tari, the ice will melt and shouldn't bother your stomach, bu****ch out for what it can do to your teeth.

Congratulations on being 'normal'! Does wii fit think the rest of us are abnormal, I wonder?

Always the best wishes, Sue

Chew in Ice is ok as far as bariatric is concerned but you might need to get your bloods dune and have your vitamin levels checked It seems to me I read somewhere that craving ice was a vitamin deficiency related trait.

Congrats on the NORMAL!!!! Yahoo!

Hey, Mary ~ I just had my blood work done, but haven't heard back yet from them.  I think maybe I should call them to see if they got the results and check on my levels.  I never thought of that being a possibility of chewing on ice.  Go figure!!  LOL

Ok I'll do this in order of  importance :),  since your normal does that little ***** on Wii still say ohhhhh in that condescending way when you get on??  I hate that :)  Congrats on the 'normal' status, I never made it there.

As others have said the desire to chew ice is a sign of low iron.  Do you take any?, if not start and soon, it's hard to get it back up.  My suggestion is a nice chewable w/ C to help it absorb better, and of course not within 3 hours of calcium.

Good luck,

Edie

Hi Edie!!!!   You know, I'm not sure what they say on the wii, I turn the sound all the way down!!  LOL  I got frustrated at hearing that "ohhhhh" sound when I got on.  So, instead, I just put on my headphones and turn tv all the way down.  HEHEHEHE
I never thought about chewing ice being a sign of anything.  I had my blood drawn, so I'm waiting to see.  Can I get a chewable iron with vitamin c in it at walmart?  I'm not very vitamin smart.  LOL
Thanks for the advice!!
God Bless,
Tari

Tari,

As I recall we need a type of Iron called carbonyl.  I use the Baratric Advantage brand because I know they were made for my new anatomy and won't hurt my tummy.   BTW since you live in the boonies ordering vitamins online might save you time and trouble, you can find BA vit's at Vitalady.com, from what I've seen her prices are very competitive.

Good luck,

Edie
