My DD gave me this photo today

It was from the month after I retired in April of 2008. I remember how bad I felt. Physically and mentally I do believe that this is the picture of my heaviest weight.  We had to come home from my vacation because my back was so painful that I ended up in the ER for pain meds. Just look at the expression on my face. You can just see the pain then compare it to my avatar and you can see the pride. LOL

Life change for me in the blink of an eye when I personally made the choice to do the unconventional and seek out Medical Weight loss surgery. I knew I had to do something or die!

I cry when I looked at this picture. In my mind I never realized how big I was esthetically or how close I was to dropping out of life!

Mary,

As painful as it is, you need to keep this picture around to look at whenever you are feeling down.
