Good Monday Morning!

Hello all!

What's in your cup today? I'm sipping my normal fake latte (steamed vanilla milk and vanilla creme coffee) and will have a yogurt in a little while.

Can you believe Christmas is only a few days away? It's going to be a busy week for many of us as we scramble to get everything done in time for Santa!  I came in to work this morning with several gifts on my desk from co-workers. I plan to bring my gifts in tomorrow to pass out (if I get them wrapped, otherwise it'll be Wednesday).  I need to make some calls today to finalize the gift for my parents and figure out how I'm going to get something physical to wrap for them (getting them a weekend getaway and concert tickets).

QOTD -- What things do you have left on your Christmas To-Do List?

Have a good day all!
Pam

I'm one of the lucky ones who don't do christmas so I have nothing left to do. So far today I've had a cup on hot chocolate and a protein bar. Not sure what I'mgoing to have for the rest of the day. I feel lazy about cooking anything. I did take some tofu out to thaw but it won't be done until tomorrow.
Maybe a veggie burger and cheese for lunch.

This is the first year I haven't put up a Christmas tree. I don't have one as my daughter took it when she moved out, and can't bring myself to buy it knowing there will be deep discounts the day after Christmas.

Other than that, I have a few gift certificates to buy and I am good to go.

Hi Michiganders and Pam

I have been a little busy an fighting a respiratory infection on my way to the Doc.
Not in the Christmas mood. but getting through it. Will head out to do some shopping for the kids and DH. DH came home from the PHP with a referral to a hematologist/oncologist. He has an appointment for Dec. 28Th when we will find out more. As far as we know right now he just has a hi white blood count. I am trying not to worry but this has sure hung a dark cloud over our holidays.

Please keep MY honey in your prayers. Thanks in advance.

May the Peace of the Lord be with you all this holiday season and through out your life.

Hi everyone.  Just checking in and it's evening already.  This has been a crazy busy day!  I'm actually sitting at work still sipping on a cup of instant coffee with SF vanilla caramel creamer and splenda.

Pam - no I can't believe Christmas is only a few days away....it came so fast and I too have a busy week.  With my job, it's coming up on year end close so it's hard to take any time off between now and the first couple weeks in Januray.  In fact we'll be working lots of overtime.  I still need to go out and get a couple of gift cards and I should be done.

I just finished wrapping my sons' and husband's presents.  I still have to wrap my parents gifts and the nephews my boys have in the cousin gift exchange.  My last day working was last Thursday, so I should be able to get things done.  I got a ham today and plan to do some more baking tomorrow.  I'm trying to make a couple of sugar free, low carb things for me along with all the regular Christmas cookies.  I also bake break and make pierogis every year.  I'm planning a big Christmas Eve dinner even though it will only my hubbie, the boys and me.

I'm also dealing with a couple of health issues - just got put back on blood pressure meds, have low iron still, and have had mid-cycle bleeding (have an appt in January for this).

Also - my sister-in-law in Las Vegas was just diagnosed with brain cancer, so my husband's family is a mess right now.

Well it's Wednesday, does that still count :).

It's been crazy for me too.  I'm actually about 36,000 feet up in a plane right now,  I'm going to Phx. for Christmas, so getting everything ready to leave for the week as we all know is a bit crazy!

I still have a few gift cards to get, but now that they carry them at grocery stores it's not a big deal!  I think that is the best new idea in the past few years, it has made my life soooooo much easier.

If I don't get back on during the week, I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year!

Edie
