My sons surgery Monday!!

Hi everyone!

So tomorrow is the day!!  My youngest son Chris has surgery at 8:30 and Mike has surgery at 10:30!! We decided to drive to Flint tonight and get a hotel about a mile from the hospital because the roads are horrible and we have to be to the hospital by 6:00 AM.  It took us 2 1/2 hours to get here from Midland which is normally a 50 minute drive.  I can see why they say you have a better chance of dying in a car accident than on the operating table!!

Anyways, please say a prayer for my two sons tomorrow!!  I am excited for them to begin this journey.  They have been doing their 2 week liquid diet and Mike is down 30 lbs and Chris about 24!!  So they are off to a good start.

Thanks everyone for all the support!

Thanks girls!  One down and one to go.  Chris is in recovery right now and Mike is still in surgery.  I will update a little later when they are both in their room.  They had a riot with the nurses this morning in pre-op joking around and all.  Then, the nerves set in :-)

Lori - love your new picture!  You look great!

Both made it through surgery fine and are now in their room sleeping.   They have them sharing a room which is good for me!  The nurses said they will be in within a couple hours to get them up to start walking!!
