Good morning Michigan!

Started my day with my usual protein tea and a coffee. Will have some chili for lunch in a bit.

I had a good weekend -- nice to connect with friends and enjoy shopping and hanging out in Frankenmuth. Yesterday I spent the day relaxing, reading and catching up on some DVR stuff -- was nice to unplug a bit.

QOTD -- I don't really need to do the whole get back on track thing. I am doing pretty good with my plan and I'm on track.

Good Afternoon!

I am having a good food day today . . yesterday not so much. . . I don't know why someday I can keep all my meals down and other days . . everything I eat makes a quick exit!

I also had a great weekend . . enjoyed my Saturday also.  I can't believe that I am almost done shopping . . I haven't done this in years and feels good.

I also spend the day at home yesterday and got most of my living room and dining room put back together . . the paint color is growing on me.

QOTD - I am so bad lately with my water . . and I know that is why I am having headaches . . working on it today!

Have a nice day!

Hi Pam

see you have been busy and may have missed some of the past days post. Some of us have admitted that we have not been on our best behavior including me. We have tried the 5 day and failed miserably at that.
So referring to an earlier post "in which you said " To just do the basic pouch rules would be better than the 5day, which I agree with by the way. Especially when I think the 5-day is nothing more then the equivalent of a fad diet.
I started these back to basic post. Hoping to add additional support to those who are in need.

I am happy for your to be on track How ever some of use are not so disciplined. (including me).

So I happy that you chose to stop by.  I hope you will pass on some of that wisdom you have learned through out your journey! And please don't stay away for such a long time!

by the way Your avi is fabulous! You look marvelous and like a regular person! (remember when that was one of your goals.)

Hiya

Yep, I absolutely advocate going back to the basic rules of WLS when you find yourself getting off track.  For those who missed my blog post about Back on Track, it's here.

Things seem to be a bit different here at work lately and I can't get online in the mornings like I used to. So sometimes it's not until afternoon when I have the chance to stop by the board. But I usually make a drive-by at some point during the day to see if there's anything I can help with or contribute to.  Yep, life is busy -- but that's nothing new and probably won't change anytime soon (unless I win the lottery and can retire in style).

Good afternoon everyone!

I had a great weekend going to Frankenmuth Saturdasy and catching up with friends I haven't seen in such a long time!   Today I went to Hurley (again!) for the boy's Nutrition class for their upcoming surgery.  Three weeks from today, by this time, they will have both had their surgery and will be in their rooms at the hospital :-)  I'm excited for them.

QOTD:  I'm just taking one day at a time trying to do the right things.  Get my fluids in, take my vitamins, get in enough protien, and continue my exercise program.  Some days are harder than others that's for sure!!

I will admit, sitting in the nutrition class really reminds you of all the rules and makes you realize how off the path you can get if you aren't careful.  I need to be more diligent about my vitamins first and foremost I think.

Well, I'm not very far out, so I don't need to get back to basics.  I have developed a bad habit with grazing on nuts that I'm going to get under control this week.  My goal is to portion all the nuts in the house into baggies so that I'm not just eating as much as I want.

I'm off all week, so I went to Church this morning and worked out.  I had been doing aerobics, but my knees were starting to hurt again, so I'm back to bike and elliptical.  Then last week, I felt like I pulled something in my inner thigh on the elliptical.  I went to support group last week and we had a good presentation on exercise that reminded me to stretch after my workouts and that when I do machines, I should do larger muscle groups first before specific ones.  I did much better on the elliptical.  For a machine I never thought I could do, it is a victory to do 15 minutes and I think I can get up to 20 next time if that muscle doesn't bother me.  With the right music on my ipod, I feel like I'm dancing!  And it is such a good workout, I have to make sure  I don't go too fast and wear out to soon.

My 6 month followup is next week (even though I just hit 5 months yesterday) and I called to make sure they do the labs ahead so I can talk about them when I'm there.  I can't believe time is flying so quickly.
