Jan - I too gained 5 lbs and freaked out!  My clothes were getting tight and I could "see" it...

So - I started using my tool again.  I did a little "self evaluation" and realized something:

I was eating 3 meals and 2 snacks a day.  Same as I was during my active weight loss period.  What I think we forget, is to take into account the size of our pouches now - they've "matured".  So, I was actually filling my pouch still 5 times a day, but it took more calories and more food to do that.

So - I've cut out the snacks.  I also reduced the number of "adult beverages" I consume.  I also upped my protein drinks again - if I need something to tide me over between lunch and dinner.

I also have started listening to my body about when ITS hungry - no****ching the clock on the wall.  There have been a few days after my zumba class I get home and say "am I hungry?"  No - I'm not - and not eat dinner.

I'm proud to say I've lost those 5 lbs and even another one to boot!  I don't feel like I've deprived myself either along the way either.  I also have to weigh myself almost EVERY DAY.  That's how I stay accountable to myself....

You're a smart gal to realize it at 3 lbs.  You can do it!!

Well, it's sort of nice to know I'm not the only one struggling a bit.  I guess everyone goes through it at one time or another.  I just got done slipping a little more, peanut/almond brittle.  I guess I never should have made it.  I absolutely hate to toss it.  I may just have to put it in the garage by Gary's computer.  Then if I feel the need, I'd have to walk out there.  Would I do it?  I don't know for sure, but if I do, at least I'd be getting a little exercise on the way.
Gary got home from hunting today empty handed.  We're going back this weekend, so maybe some venison is in our future.  We did a bit of running around, stopped to buy our Christmas party tickets, stopped at Sam's for grapes, banana's oranges, celery and garbage bags.  I did good there, and only tried a couple of the samples.  Then on to Walmart to get Josh his 'barn' christmas present and then to CS Sewing to get the light fixed on my machine.  Can you believe I spent $550 ???  I just wanted the light fixed and ended up buying a 2010 BabyLock sewing machine.  It's so cool.  I almost don't have to do anything but push buttons.  It's even self threading.  Too cool, I just hope I can justify the cost and really get into this sewing thing.  I want to make a few quilts and this machine is great for quilting.
Haven't had dinner yet.  We're talking about going out, but maybe I'll just make salads for us with feta and pickled beets.  That's what I've had for the last two nights.
Doesn't look like I'll get in all my water today, but will only be short by about 10 ounces or so.  Who knows, maybe I will.  I think I don't like to drink it at night, because I don't like to get up during the night to pee.  Hmmmm, which should I do, drink or pee???
Well, kudos to all who stepped up and admitted that you're not on track, and kudos for vowing to get back at it.  We're in this together gals!
