Good Morning!

I started my day again today with oatmeal, splash of sf maple syrup and blueberries!

I miss the morning thread . . for you newbies that just stalk and move on . . stop by and just say hello if you have nothing else to say.  I have met some great friends on this board from all over the State . . you just never know who you will connect with here.

QOTD - Do you have a plan for your up coming Thanksgiving dinner? or is it a free for all day?

Thanksgiving is always at my parents and we eat at 3:00 so it's in between lunch and dinner for me so I usually have to adjust my schedule . .  this year however I am working 16 hours on Thanksgiving Day and will miss all the festivities . . but I know my mom and she will have a plate for me the next day.

When I worked in the power plant I always felt sorry for the Operators who keep the power on so our Christmas lights were burning brightly and they gave up time with there families . . but there are so many that miss Holidays with there families, hospital staffs  . . here at the power company and even the guy or gal at 7-11 . . something to think about.

Enjoy your day!

Good Afternoon now!

I do lurk and usually don't have input, but today I'll talk!

Today I had a V-8 splash and babybel cheese for breakfast.  It's time to go grocery shopping.  I'm out of almost everything.

Thanksgiving this year is going to be different.  I've had it at my house for the last seven years, but this year it is at my mom's house.  My oldest sister had to start dialysis over the summer and Thursday is one of her days.  I live 1/2 an hour north of their house and her dialysis center is an hour south of their house.  So, I felt like it wasn't fair to make them drive all over tarnation.  My other sister and I are going to make dinner while my mom and sister and there.  The men folk will probably just park themselves in front of the TV.

Have a great day all!!

Afternoon Kristi,

I've hardly been on here lately too.  I used to look forward to the morning thread it's sad that it's pretty much disappeared, I too have met allot of great people on here, including you :).

I can't believe your working 16 hours on Thanksgiving, hopefully there's allot of cha ching with that!

When I worked in a hospital I always volunteered to work Thanksgiving and Christmas because I didn't have kids and I felt sorry for the Mom's that did.

Have a great day all,

Edie
