Hi and welcome!
I live in the Kalamazoo area and I just had a Roux-en-y gastric by pass done on 9/14/10. I had Dr. Stuart Verseman and I went to Borgess Medical Center. I gave a review of the surgeon and hospital here so you can look them up. I was extremely prepared pre-op for what to experience post op. I've lost close to 60# since my surgery.
If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help you.
My daughter, is also on here. (Kelli SMith) She goes to Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids with Dr. Foote. She is having a vertical sleeve done this winter. This is also a good group to go to.
Good luck with your journey.
