So a friend of mine was is 1 year post op was told she is still addicted to sugar and that she needs to go carb free for two weeks in order to clear the sugar/carbs from her body.  I told her that I would do it with her.  So starting tomorrow, its no carbs for me.

I went grocery shopping yesterday and picked up al the meat and veggies I need to the week.  Today is prep day.  I am going to cook up some of the meat and put it in bags of 4 oz.  I'll cut up the brocolli and cauliflower I bought.  Hopefully by preparing ahead it will make this all easier.

We have also committed to tracking everything we eat so I am also going to put all the information in the health tracker and utilize that tool.

I am also blogging every day so I can keep a check on my emotions, thoughts, etc.

Wish me luck and if you want - check out my blog

Good Luck!  I have thought about doing the same myself, not because of sugar, but because of carbs.  I am more than a year and a half out.  Back in May I started on this pretzel kick and I swear, I can't make it through the day without eating them.  I think that has lead to a carb addiction because I am eating too many pretzels, crackers, chips, etc.......Good luck to you - let us know who it goes!Nan

Pretzels are evil....they opened the door for me to other carbs too.  I no longer allow them in the house, they are my crack!

My intense craving began with protein bars.....they were my "gateway" drug to other unhealthy things....I'm still working on getting back on track.
Best of luck with going sugar free!
