Good Morning!

I started my day with oatmeal with raspberries and blueberries . . I love fruit!

What a beautiful day yesterday . . can't complain about this mild weather we are having . . however today make sure you hang on to your hat!

QOTD - Do you have a plan in place for the up coming goodies this Holiday season?

Because I have given up all flour, my kids were worried that I would not make cookies, it is a big tradition for us to frost cookies on Christmas Eve morning for Santa . . so now I will move my baking to my son's Kevin's house and all the goodies will stay there.  Instead of goodies at my house we are going to make Christmas ornaments at my house.

Enjoy your windy day!

good morning Kristy and All of you other Michiganders

Up early with a strawberry banana yogurt protein smoothie
YUM!

QOTD: I do have a plan I bought some really big boxes of red hots from the store for the kids that live near by and have given them  to them explaining that this is their Halloween treat and the trick is I don';t pass out candy for the eve. Then I close up my doors and go to the movies!

You are baking your Christmas cookies for Halloween. Novel idea!
I know that you can freeze them but I have been putting that off and will start that project before Thanks giving. I make some Turkeys and Pilgrim for T day. for the family then traditional ones for  Christmas. I working on a new recipe with SF cake and SF frosting / let you all know when I get it perfected.

Don't get Blown away today!
Peace and Love!

Good morning!

Ok, this window has been open for about 3 hours now and all I'd typed was "good morning". Whew! What a day!

Lunch is right around the corner. I made butternut squash soup this weekend - it's SO delicious. The winds are getting bad. Just heard an update that we're suppose to get up to 80mph around here. yikes! I'm staying inside for lunch!

QOTD -- No plans for the holiday yet. That's a long time away still. I can barely plan what I'm doing next week, let alone 2 months from now.  LOL!

I probably won't make cookies this year unless we do the family cookie exchange like we did last year. But there won't be stockpiles of cookies in the house or anything. I'll just do what I do every year - eat what I want at the holiday meals and all the rest of the time, behave and choose healthy foods.

Have a good day all!

Hi all,

I just went out for lunch and boy is it windy and nasty out there!  Good day to be inside!

Pam - your butternut squash soup sounds good, I was looking at that recipe the other day on your blog. I may make it this weekend.

QOTD:  Nope, I really don't have plans for the holidays as far as any goodies.  I really haven't had swets since my surgery (one chocolate chip cookie about a month ago) so they don't really bother me anymore.

The challenge this year is going to be that my son Chris  and hopefully my son Mike will both be having Surgery in early December.  As you know Chris has already been approved and we are waiting on a surgery date.  Mike's info just got sent into the insurance co yesterday so we are awaiting approval!!!!  So I think this year there won't be much focus around food at all during the holidays!  At least I am going to try and make it that way.

Have a good day everyone!

I had cinnomon/applesause smotthy for breakfast then some potato soup made with extra protein powder and soy milk for lunch. I'm still on liquids for another 2 weeks.

We had tornado warnings this morning. But I guess a lot of the lower part of the state did.

I dont do anything for halloween as I have 3 medium to large dogs and I don't know how they would react to some kid looking weird coming to the dog so I just dont turn on the lights. Haven't for years.
Ialso plan to ignor thranksgiving and xmas. The joys of living alone. I can do that.

This morning was breakfast on the run so it was a peanut butter protein bar.

Today was my 3 month post-op visit at the surgeon's office.  In the middle of the three appointments there was a tornado warning so we had to all go to the basement.  Interesting.

I haven't been around much lately as my classes have been taking up all of my time.  I had  to make up for all the time I had to spend at my venue for ArtPrize and I'm still playing "catch-up".

I was hoping to have a costume made for Halloween this year but it's not going to happen.  I'll just have to save my idea for next year.

Kristy,

First, you love fruit because your fruity :).

Second, great idea about decorating the cookies there and the ornaments at your place!

While it's still Tuesday, I thought I would tell you about my day.  I went to the doctor because I suspect my iron is low and also because my stomach has been hurting for a few days now.

She sent me to the hospital for blood tests, xray and abdomen ultrasound.  Next she wants me to have a CT scan.  I will be going back to see her on Thursday unless I hear differently tomorrow.

She thinks I'm probably not taking enough acid reducer, but she wants to make sure.

Tomorrow night I am going to a class in Davison put on by the OCD club (Obsessive Coupon Disorder).  Supposedly they teach you how to save more money with coupons so I'm going to try it.

It was windy today, but not too bad.  Hope your day was good.

Hope they figure out what's bothering you Sandi, Iron would be the easiest and I'm afraid to say most problematic thing we post ops have.

If you learn anything you've never heard or seen before tomm. pass it along!
