Good Morning this Wednesday
Loving the results I've had with my roux=en=y surgery. I'm maintaining and eating well. I have my falls, but I jump right back on the horse so to speak. I watch the scale carefully, a few times a week. If I see a gain I get back on track immediately.
I get to babysit for my grandson, Josh this weekend. The kids are going to Ohio for a wedding, so I've got him all to myself, and hubby of course. It'll be like old times, only better with the grand. :>)
We've been busy working on our lake house, remodeling and such. What a project! but it's a labor of love. We'll certainly enjoy it next summer.
Hope all my OH buds are doing well. I think of you all quite offen as a matter of fact, but just don't seem to have enough time to check on here and facebook. I do catch up with a lot of you on fb tho.
Take care all. Chat away.

I'm sipping on my fake latte this morning and enjoying a quiet day at the office. I've got a few small projects to complete, but otherwise it should be fairly slow today. Which means I might be able to sneak in some OH time today.
The book is coming along. I'm behind schedule and probably won't hit my release date of Nov 13th like I'd planned. But I'd rather have it be perfect and late ... than to have it on time and filled with holes and typos. So I'm just cranking it out little by little. At least I'm done writing (mostly) and just dealing with editing and formatting right now. I've got several chapters already sent off to my self-appointed-editor so it's starting to really feel real and stuff.
I've got class tonight and I still have some "thinking" to do on the project we have due tonight. We're designing a logo for a fiber art company and I need to have some concept sketches ready for presentation tonight. So far I'm liking anything I've come up with -- so need to think about it some more and do some drawing at lunchtime.
Have a great day all!
Pam

The scale can measure the weight of my body but never my worth as a woman. ~Lysa TerKeurst author of Made to Crave

Isn't it funny how busy we got when we lost weight . .lol
I have been trying to put my house back together since my son moved out and it coming along. Once I get everything settled I want to get my living room painted before the Holidays I hope.
Don't you love being a grandparent . . . I love it . . I have become "chopped liver" since the move but that is really what I was hoping for. Hanna has been with me for most of her 5 years and I wanted her to love her new house with her daddy and she does, it is like they (Kev, Hanna and both dogs) have lived there for ever. Hanna is happy and adjusted in her new home and school I couldn't be happier.
Well take care . . but it sounds like you are doing a good job.

Hi everyone!
I agree...life has been so busy lately and I don't see an end in sightl It's nice to be living life though after surgery.
Jan - I'm glad you are doing so well with maintainence. When my daughter had surgery, she didn't have a scale. I was a SLAVE to the scale and obsessed with weighing in every day. I GAVE her my scale....got rid of it. It drives me nuts right now, because in my mind I kind of panic when I'm bad and eating a lot of carbs, thinking I must be gaining. But I'm kind getting used to not weighing in every day and just going by how my clothes feel. I have a scale at the house in Chelsea so I do weigh myself once in a while.
My son Chris is having surgery in December (don't have the exact date yet) and my other son Mike just finished his insurance requirements, his consultation with the surgeon last week, and is in the process of insurance approval!!!! Hopefully he'll get the thumbs up on his approval and if all goes as planned, both of them will be having surgery the same day in December!! I am looking forward to that all being behind us and on their way to losing!
Take care everyone,
Nan

I'm definitely not ready to lose the scale yet. I've got too much riding on it.
Glad to hear your daughter is, and both sons will be on their way to a healthier life. They've seen how well their Mom has done, and I suppose they're pretty impressed, and want the same for themselves. I wish my youngest would do something about his weight, but I know just exactly how hard it is. He's a teacher so I'm sure his insurance would pay for it, but he's certainly not ready for such a drastic measure.
Take care. I can't wait to see my grandson Saturday. Should be a great time.
