Another glorious fall weekend. The colors are just spectacular here. Was able to bike on Saturday and enjoy...... Had some fresh picked Honey Crisp apples-so good..
QOTD-What has been your biggest WL challenge this past month? I've been traveling a bit for work, lately, and the exercise has been so hard to get in . Getting off my regular schedule makes it more of a challenge. Traveling this week, too (for leisure) so will have to be more disciplined..
Will not be on this week... Going to Jamaica for a wedding. See everyone next week.

Good morning!

Wow! What a wonderful weekend we had... and it looks like next weekend should be nice too. Not as warm, but at least it'll be clear. Heading up to Mackinaw City next weekend, so sunshine would be nice.

QOTD -- When I get really busy I tend to neglect myself. I forget to eat, I don't drink enough water and I forget to take my vitamins. So I've been working hard this week to get back on track after having a few weeks of pure hecticness. With next weekend being a "play weekend" I plan to be much more lax on my food choices and indulge in a few treats -- so I'm 100% on the straight and narrow until then.

Morning all,

Had a PB and banana sandwich for breakfast and will have leftover steak and salad for lunch.  What are you eating today???  Next week we're going to try to go vegetarian, more beans, legumes and vege's so I'm going to have to be more diligent with my vitamins and work harder at getting my protein in.  Has anyone tried to go or are vegetarian out there???  How do you make sure your protein levels are adequate. (I think I'm actually going to post this question to the board, so look for it if you have an answer for me please).

Q:  Carbs, and increased hunger, maybe the increased hunger is because of the carbs or maybe because I'm almost 3 years out....dunno, I only know my hunger is driving me batty.

was a good weekend. too bad for the blue and gold, but Sparty prevailed. LOL

coffee and protein powder this am . I found some Travis city cherry coffee grounds going to try later.
QOTD-What has been your biggest WL challenge this past month?
Vitamins. just cant remember them. for some reason I will look at my very organized vitamin pack and not even pick it up and get em down. Sort of scatter brained too. lately. and Water. I get so busy puts around that i forget to do it. Then I feel bad about not following the rules. I think I am becoming to lax. Any way I seem to have some head (thinking) issues that I need to address and deal with, before it gets out of hand.

Good morning everyone!

I just finished some cheese and crackers and a few pretzels.  I think that was my lunch.  I've been snacking all ,morning it seems. 

QOTD:  Carbs, carbs and more carbs!  I remember going to Pam's support group meetings and I would tell her "I'm afraid to eat this or that" for the first year or so after surgery.  She said to me "Keep scared as long as you can"   Well, I should have continued to stay afraid of eating things like chips and crackers, bread, pretzels, etc. because now, I definitely eat too many carbs.  Mostly pretzels and crackers.  Another challenge for me is not taking my vitamins regularly.  It's pure laziness on my part.  I just need to set them out where they are visible and take them every day!

It was absolutely beautiful up here this past weekend (except Monday - didn't get above 60 or so).

QOTD:  Iron - I'm terrible at getting my iron in.  I went and had my labs drawn last week and will have a reality check in the mail this week.  I don't do very well with calcium either, but bought the choc chews citrates and it makes it much easier- but they tend to bind me - can't win!!

I take BA Iron w/ C just as I'm going to bed, it does not bother my stomach and because it's in my night stand I don't forget it.  Now Calcium and I have problems, too many needed throughout the day, I keep a container of them at my desk at work and if I'm having a snack of yogurt or pretzels (bad Edie), I take a calcium with them so at least for a while there in there working by themselves, I'm by no means good or consistent with them, but I try :).
