Good morning Deb, welcome back!

Started my morning w/ vanilla flavored coffee, then on to my protein shake w/ viti's, yes I'm a creature of habit.  We're having a pot luck at work today, I brought in spaghetti squash spaghetti.  We're also having home made pizza, white bean and ham soup, an avocado/guac homemade dip.....sorry I guess I'm hungry :).  Is it noon yet!

Q: I guess I'm going with a rant today....my hunger is back big time lately (can you tell from the above paragraph, hehehehe), it's driving me crazy!  I think I'm going to go on something like the 5 day pouch test, just to try to smash the carb monster!

Deb congrats on the anniversary coming up, my 3rd is next month, didn't realize we were that close in dates.

Have a great day all, if you didn't know it the next 4-5 days are going to be beatiful outside, hope you go out and enjoy them!

This morning I had 1/2 slice toast w/ 1/2 egg and a piece of ham and cheese.  Just wasn't hungry, so didn't eat.  Since then I've had a blueberry yogurt, 1/2 an apple and a cup of black coffee.  At noon I'm going to the Interlochen Women's club to join and have lunch.  I think they're having lasagna and I HOPE salad.  I'll load up on the salad and try the lasagna.  I've been having a lot of cravings lately, but mostly have been maintaining.  Today I got on the scale and was up 3, so it's back to really watching it for a few days.
No real rants at least that I want to verbalize.  My raves are many.  I love being retired in northern Michigan, I love being married to Gary, I love that we've got mostly great neighbors and friends up here.  I love the weather....I'm just overall happy these days.
Going downstate this weekend as I'm hosting our poker group at my son's house on Monday.  Tuesday we'll be back up here and I'm going to my first sewing class.  Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks!?  :>)

Hey Ya'll,

Sheesh our bodies must know that cold weather is on the horizon. I am wanting to eat everything under the sun, especialy the evil stuff. I have gained 20 pounds since Feb. the 10 I lost from surgery and another 10. I think I am with Edie, I am going to look for the directions on the 5 day pouch...something has got to change.

Any news on a Meet n Greet?

I have a rave today, it is going to be a nice weekend and I will finally be able to ride the motorcycle. YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Good afternoon!

I'm about to have some lunch in a bit -- soup and salad. And do some homework while I eat, probably. Gotta love being a student again. I think I got spoiled over the summer with all that free time. :-)

Rant -- I took my B12 dose last night before bed. It's usually not an issue. But I suspect my levels must have dipped a bit because that dose last night kept me wired all night long! I woke up around 2am and finally gave up around 3:15 - turned the light on and read for an hour before going back to sleep. So not much sleep going on last night.

Rave -- I took Friday off work. Planning to schedule a hot stone massage. Woooo.... I'm looking forward to it!

Have a good day all
Pam

Hmmmmm...Pam.  I have had some nights like that lately and you've got me wondering if my B12 has anything to do with it.  I backed off because it was high at my last bloodwork.  Don't recall what it was off the top of my head, but I stopped taking it everyday and I'm wondering if the times I took it these last few weeks have corresponded with those restless nights.  I'll have to keep track and see if I notice any link.

We want our B12 labs to be around 1000-1500 --- which is way off the charts of normal lab readings. But other countries have figured this out already and the US is behind the times. So if your labs weren't over 1500, you didn't need to back off your dose.

And since B12 is a vitamin that turns over pretty quickly, it doesn't take long for us to dive on the numbers. I can't remember exactly... but I think the half life of B12 is something like 6 weeks or something like that.

Yeah, I think it was over that, but I'll double check.  I was taking 2500 daily.  I cut back to once a week.  I'll maybe go to a smaller doseage.
