Hi all...

Any motel suggestions for a place to have my family member stay while I'm having surgery? What's nearby?

Hi!!
When I went down for anything to do at Barix, my husband and I stayed at Lamp Post Inn in Ann Arbor which is about 20 minutes away from Barix (if that, depending on traffic). It's not a 5 star hotel, but it was reasonably priced (we paid about $45 a nite) it was clean and the staff there are really friendly and nice.

Hi and congratulations on your upcoming transformation. I would try the super 8 in Belleville off of 94. There's also a Holiday Inn express on the other side of 94 both at the Belleville rd exit. This would put your family about 2 exits away from the hospital.

Being from this area.....I would agree with Queen. Try the motels in Belleville. I believe there is a Red Roof Inn also right here. All 3 of these hotels are right off of 94 which will make it a snap to go back and forth.

Thanks for all the advice everyone!

We ended up staying at the Lamp Post Inn. I think we must have just gotten a really bad room, it smelled of urine and hadn't been vacuumed in awhile.

Next week we'll be staying at the Parish House Inn, a B&B that's on S. Huron....I'll leave a review later for anyone else to see in the future. It's the closest place I could find to Barix..and Sunday - Thursday is $99 a night.
