Thursday Morning grab your coffee and sit a while
Good Thursday Morning!
What's in your cup this morning? I started my day with Almond Joyous coffee with vanilla protein and it is great . . . Pam here is the name of the coffee/tea web site . . Schuilcoffee.com it is expensive but I am worth it . . lol . . if I think about all the money I spend at drive thru's that I didn't need it seems like it is money well spent.
Well this is Kevin and Hanna's last night at my house and I can't get the smile off my face . . they are both so excited to get their new life going and I am happy for them.
Today I am 99 days free of all flour products and what a difference it has made with my arthritis and over all health being gluten free is hard but the benefits for me have been great.
QOTD - What do you think about posting your favorite weight friendly recipe on a thread the week before Thanksgiving? My sisters were asking me last night for some ideas and I thought it would be fun to see what every ones favorite one is and get ideas to share . . . let me know what you think.
Enjoy your day!
Kristy
Thanks for the link! The Almond Joy sounds fantastic... but all the rest of the flavors look delicious too. OMG! I wi**** came in k-cups for my Keurig, but I think I'll just break out the filter for it and do the work for these flavors. Mmm...
Busy day today. Wrapping up all the last minute details for the Brooksie Way Fitness Expo. Then I'll be on my feet for 2 days straight for the event.... and Sunday I'm crashing and sleeping as much as humanly possible.
QOTD -- Yes! What a great idea to do a recipe thread. I'm in.

I remember the first year I met you here when you were saying how that year was going to be so different for the walk because it would not kill you to be on your feet so much! Ain't RNY great!
Enjoy your weekend and relish your Sunday.

Thanks for doing the thread again, we'll get everyone back, I know we will :).
Congrats on the 99 days, I've actually kicked around the idea myself. Someone on another board was saying that her sister went gluten free and her GERD disappeared my GERD has been talking to me big time the past few months. Plus I've read that sugar can cause inflammation in the body and the pain I had last winter (that ended up being a pseudo tumor) was inflammation....yet another reason to stop gluten, but it's a hard adjustment and I'm just not ready to do it. Maybe one day. Can you tell me what foods you like best ? And what you miss the most? Thanks.
Q: Great idea, I'm in.

been up early had to take Diesel to the vet he has an ear infection and ear ache just like a baby. he was up all night just rubbing his head on my arm cause it hurt so bad. So DR. Hermann gave him a shot of steroids and antibiotic for the ear. And of course it was time for him to get his other shots too but he must have got some relief cause he is sleeping peacefully now. And since he went and got his vaccinations of course Maggie had to get some shots too. So the babies are all set for the next 3 yrs. A 150 buckaroos later.
So finally get to my fresh brewed Folgers and protein powder. no special flavors.
QOTD: Yes that is a super Idea! lets take it further and start a tread call it OH.MI Holiday Planning Recipes. and let it go from now till New Yrs. That way everyone can add to it for as long as they would like or copy from it if they want.
It looks like your now the official Tread starter. And your doing a Fantastic Job. Kristy. Keep up the good work.
Hi everyone.
Not exactly morning, but dood day to you all!
Congratulations on the 99 days Kristi! OMG, I need to do that. I remember sitting in a support group meeting with you and you said you would go thru the pretzels by the bagfuls and how you had to throw them out. It all started for me when my dauther had her surgery and I bought a bag of pretzels from the vending machines while I was in the waiting room. I've been hooked ever since!
That was May 10th. It was the first I had eaten that type of snacky food other than popcorn since my surgery. Ever since then, I go through bags of pretzels. It would not be all that bad beccause they aren't the worst snack you can have, it's just that now sometime I'm making them my meal....and that's not good because then I don't get in protein. I think I need to follow your footsteps and go carb free like you!
QOTD: Great idea about the recipe thread!
